Dubas thyristor based battery chargers are built to provide constant DC power source to the customer’s critical applications as well charge the batteries battery lasts its life time as well ready during any power outage / emergencies. These battery chargers can also be configured without battery in parallel and hence can be used as a constant DC Power Source.
Output voltage regulation is achieved by thyristor control. The charger is of constant voltage current limited type with two levels of voltage for charging the battery. These levels are `Float
Charger’ and `Boost Charger’ levels, which essentially designate the band voltage levels that can be set as per the charging requirements of the battery (which is determined by the type of battery). Boost charge provides the desired quick charge for a discharged battery.
The charger will concurrently provide constant voltage power to the load, the current limit can vary from 10% to 90% of the charger output capacity.
